I’ve been wanting to make some little Micarta boxes for a while now, and here they are. I mean, who doesn’t like a good box? These are sized around the same dimensions as a Zippo lighter, and are quite sturdy. They’re not going to hold the whole world, but they’re perfect for a few spare headache pills, some guitar picks, breath mints, or other small items.
Each box is made from brown linen micarta (unless otherwise noted; I’ll likely do some in other materials in the future), and is 2″ long, by 1.5″ wide, and .5″ thick. The inner chamber is approximately .275″ deep, 1.75″ long and 1.2″ wide.
The lid is held securely in place by a spring loaded detent ball on either end of the box.
